Inespressi abissi explores the relationship between external space and internal space with a symbolic and metaphysical approach. The theme is the urban landscape understood as an existential metaphor. The sources of inspiration are Carrà and De Chirico for their formal synthesis and lyricism, which I try to enhance and renew through colour and the use of biomorphic and alienating forms. The works explore the dark side of existence, placing it in dialogue with our aspirations and hopes.
Altri luoghi develops the theme of landscape in an evocative and symbolic way. A landscape consisting of a few archetypal elements: the house, the tree. Symbolically, the tree represents the link between earth and sky, matter and spirit. Here it also evokes a feeling of melancholy, delicacy, fragility. The house refers to balance, solidity, and concreteness. These are seemingly irreconcilable aspects, which find a form of completion in these works. Colour abandons any descriptive character. The blurred contours indicate a propensity for the indefinite. In the latest works, the houses become towers and palaces, and their relationship with the tree becomes an existential metaphor.
