Word shapes – Primary School, Condino (TN)

Word shapes – Fluorescent Polyethylene (Rendering)

Competition entry for an artwork to be installed in the school courtyard.

Since the primary users of the courtyard are children, whose aesthetic concepts often differ from those of adults, I developed an idea that aligns with their perspective and engages them directly.

With these large, three-dimensional polyethylene characters, the letters of the alphabet are transformed into an opportunity for play. They are lightweight enough to be moved around, allowing children to:

  • Form words

  • Define new spaces

  • Create composite shapes

The use of fluorescent plastic ensures they remain visible even in the evening, creating a playful and engaging atmosphere.
