“Crux gemmata” – Don Bosco Parochial Church, Bolzano – acrylic paint with reflective aggregates (Rendering), LED spotlights

The Don Bosco parish church was renovated a few years ago, highlighting the purity and sobriety of its lines and spaces. Subsequently, the community decided to commission a pictorial work for the apse that could integrate harmoniously with the church’s new aesthetic. The proposed painting, when appropriately lit, creates a halo emanating from the Cross, inspired by the “Crux gemmata” of Romanesque and Medieval iconography
